Explore urban noise with our in-house acoustic model

We built an acoustic modelling pipeline to investigate urban noise around properties and neighbourhoods. It applies established acoustic methods to supporting spatial data, computes day/evening/night estimates, and aggregates the results for map overlays and reports.

Open Safety in Explore to inspect noise evidence where your access permits it, or read the public Safety methodology. The model starts at approximately 25-metre spatial resolution; it estimates exposure rather than measuring sound with microphones at each home. Available sources vary, so inspect the coverage and limits before drawing a conclusion.
